ÇEŞME MARINA CZECH FIELD HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE FIRE DRILL

WITH THE ARRIVAL OF THE WINTER SEASON, A JOINT FIRE DRILL WAS HELD WITH THE IZMIR METROPOLITAN FIRE BRIGADE AT THE ÇEŞME MARINA ÇEKEK FIELD, AS EVERY YEAR.

The rehearsal of the interventions that should be made to a boat that has caught fire according to the scenario was carried out at the tow yard, which is intensively used during the winter period for maintenance and repair works of boats. First of all, the area was secured by pulling the safety strips around the boat that caught fire and cutting off the electricity. Then the marina technical team made the first intervention with fire hoses.

 Soon after, the Cesme Fire Department also participated in the exercise and intervened in the fire. The marina's certified first aid team participated in the exercise with their first aid kit and AED ready.

Çeşme Marina staff and Çeşme Fire Department officials, who successfully carried out the exercise, made a short assessment after the exercise. Cesme Marina General Manager Bora Ergezgin's thoughts about the exercise “We are trying to be prepared for a possible situation by taking regular trainings together with all our marina personnel against fire and similar natural disasters. I believe that these trainings are of great benefit in the situations we have experienced. We would also like to thank our team and the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department Department for successfully completing the exercise once again."He underlined the importance of exercises and trainings in possible emergency situations.
