GREEN APPLE AWARD FOR BEST ENVIRONMENTAL APPLICATIONS

IC Çeşme Marina, built by IC IÇTAŞ CONSTRUCTION and managed by IC Holding and Camper & Nicholsons Marinas, received the Silver Apple award on the continents of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the “Green Apple” Best Environmental Practices Awards held at the British Parliament House in London.

At the Green Apple Award Ceremony held at the British Parliament House in London,
Chairman of the Board of Directors Salih Çeçen accepted this prestigious award won by Çeşme Marina.
IC Cesme Marina was awarded with the award for obtaining natural olive oil from olive trees planted, grown and maintained by marina. The olive harvest is being held by IC Cesme Marina employees and their families in a festive atmosphere.
 
Salih Chechen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IC Cesme Marina, stated the following in his statement about the award they received: “We are proud that Cesme Marina has won another award. We would like to see this initiative become widespread throughout the Mediterranean.

As the winner of the International Green Apple Award, Çeşme Marina also won the right to represent Turkey at the 2018 Green Apple Awards as a Green World Ambassador.
 
The ”Green Organization" referee said, "In this amazing Turkish marina, 75 olive trees, which are up to 200 years old and are part of the Aegean culture, are harvested in a festive atmosphere. The obtained olive oil is given as a gift to the guests of the marina and life is provided for the animals in these olive trees. These have inspired the planting of 100 more native fruit trees.” he made statements.
 
Cesme Marina, a historical and romantic port, was the recipient of the Golden Anchor Award, which was accepted as the Oscar of the maritime industry in the Marina Management category in 2010, the “Dialog – Mixed Use Award for Urban Quality” by ARKIPARC in 2011, the “Tourism Investor of the Year” award by Izmir Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism in 2012 and the “Jack Nichol – Outstanding Design Award” by World Maritime Transport “PIANC” in 2014.
